On September 13, 2023, College hosted a momentous event in collaboration with Jio, a leading telecommunications company, and the Department of Computer Science. The event marked the unveiling of Jio 5G technology on the college campus, establishing Nehru Arts and Science College as the first 5G-enabled campus in the district. The event was not only a significant technological milestone but also an educational opportunity for the students and faculty.

The event was a result of a strategic partnership between the College and Jio, showcasing the commitment to advancing technological infrastructure in  education. Recognition as the First 5G Campus College was officially designated as the first 5G campus in the district, a title that underscores the institution's dedication to innovation and technological progress. A symbolic moment during the event was the presentation of a certification by Jio representatives to College acknowledging the campus's achievement as a 5G-enabled institution. This certification will be proudly displayed on campus. To enhance the understanding of 5G technology and its potential impact on various industries, a comprehensive educational session was conducted by Jio State Mobility Head Mr. Augustine Fernandez. This session provided valuable insights into the future of 5G technology, including its applications, benefits, and opportunities for students pursuing careers in technology and telecommunications.
