Description: Small tree. Leaves alternate, pinnately compound. Leaflets 11 – 35, ovate-oblong, unequal-sided at the base. Flowers dark purple-brown, cauliflorous in short panicles from the old wood. Fruit oblong berry, obtusely-lobed, yellowish.
Uses: Cultivated for their acid fruits. Fruits often pickled when young.
