Description: Conical trees growing up to 70m in height. Bark grayish brown, exfoliating in fine scales. Branches develop in flat horizontal plane, usually pendent; branchlets in whorls of 4-7. Leaves dimorphic, incurved. Juvenile leaves needle-like. Adult leaves scale-like, densely arranged, dark green. Male cone in clusters, elongated, yellowish-brown or reddish. Female cone broader than long with triangular scales and a long incurved bract. Seeds 2.5-3 cm long, with broad wings.

Uses: Grown as ornamental plant. Much valued for landscaping.
