Description: Small tree with smooth grey bark exfoliating in thin flakes. Leaves simple, oblong-lanceolate to elliptic, prominently nerved and pubescent beneath. Flowers white, 1-3 in leaf axils. Fruit globose berry.

Uses: Cultivated for their edible fruits. Leaves are medicinal.
