Description: Perennial rhizomatous bamboo, growing up to 10 m in height. Stem stiff, yellow to brown at maturity, with a swollen band beneath the nodes. Culm sheaths glabrous, deciduous. Leaves lanceolate, glabrous above, pubescent along lower midrib.

Uses: Grown as on ornamental bamboo.
