Description: Large tree with spreading crown and pubescent branches. Leaves large, bipinnate, pinnae 4 or 5 pairs, leaflets 6-16 pairs, ovate-oblong. Flowers pinkish, in dense heads. Fruit strap-shaped, thick, fleshy, indehiscent pod.

Uses: Planted as an avenue tree. Leaves and pods are used as fodder.
