Description: Large shrub or a small tree. Branches armed with small prickles. Leaves bipinnate, pinnae 6-12pairs, leaflets 5-13 pairs per pinna, oblong-elliptic. Flowers scarlet, red and yellow or yellow, in long corymbs. Fruit obliquely oblong, compressed pod, with 8-10 seeds.

Uses: Cultivated as garden plant for their showy flowers.
