Description: An evergreen dioecious palm, with a thick trunk and a broad rounded crown of leaves. Leaves stiff, fan-shaped, induplicate, costapalmate, silver-blue, about 4 feet wide and long. Flowers unisexual, brown, in pendent inflorescence. Fruit brown drupe.

Uses: Planted as ornamental palm.
